Letter Assignment

Attention Public Relations:

In April 2010, my family and I visited Disney World. We enjoyed two of your theme parks; Epcot Center and Magic Kingdom. We were impressed by the beauty of the parks and the many activities to enjoy at each one. Both parks were beautifully landscaped and very clean, which added to our enjoyment. We had a small child with us and really appreciated the mother’s rooms that were available.

I had one concern. The day we visited Magic Kingdom, the park was very crowded, which is probably typical. There were a lot of families at the park which meant a lot of children. As I tried to talk to my family I noticed that I was shouting to be heard because of all of the noise. With that many people it would be expected that there would be a lot of background noise. However the crowds were not solely responsible for the noise. When I was standing right next to my daughter and found myself shouting, I recognized that much of the noise was coming from the music transmitted through the speakers throughout the park. It was really loud and I felt it was very unnecessary to enhance the Disney experience. In fact, at the end of the day I had practically lost my voice from trying to communicate with my family. Strengthening our family relationship was the whole point of spending the day at your park and having a difficult time communicating because of the loud music diminished the experience for our family.

I hope that you will address this problem and remedy the situation so that in the future families can enjoy your beautiful facilities and strengthen their family relationships.

Another Twilight?

I was reading the news and saw a story on a new young adult trilogy. The author, Lisa Mangum, won the the 2009 Book of the Year for Young Adult Fiction for her first published book,"The Hourglass Door". Here is a clip from the article:
"Her debut novel -- first in a trilogy -- brings to life Abby, a typical high school senior whose life is interrupted by foreign exchange student Dante and time travel. Fans describe it as a 'can't put it down' novel."
The news article went onto say that fans love the second book, The Golden Spiral" as well and can't wait for the third book to come out next spring. Could this be another Edward and Bella?
